These materials are needed to adhere and fill in the boiler system for my students putt putt boats. The students will take aluminum cans and create boiler engines, while using cartons to create the haul of the boat. Once the boats are built, we will prime the boiler engines and put a candle underneath them. The boat should move in the track of water making a distinct putt putt sound. Putt putt boats are a great way to teach engineering and creativity; as well as allowing students to learn time management and the design process. Engineering is the concept of taking technology and improving it to match the future needs of our society.

About my class
