The fielding equipment has also helped players improve hand-eye coordination, reaction time, and defensive technique.\r\n\r\nIncreased Engagement & Confidence – Students are excited to use professional-level training tools, and it has motivated them to practice with greater focus and determination. Having access to this equipment gives them the confidence to progress faster and feel successful while learning.\r\n\r\nBetter Practice Efficiency – With more specialized training gear, we can run more targeted drills and keep multiple students working at once. This has transformed practices and PE classes into more structured, productive, and fun learning environments.\r\n\r\nLong-Term Program Growth – Beyond skill-building, this equipment supports teamwork, discipline, and resilience—all qualities that will benefit students in athletics and in life. It also helps strengthen our program's foundation, giving future classes access to the same opportunities.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has created a lasting impact that goes far beyond equipment—it has inspired students, strengthened our program, and enriched our school community. For many, Educated has ignited a new appreciation for learning and perseverance, showing that education can be a pathway to transformation no matter where you start. My students are now able to use the Silhouette Cameo for our Geometry projects in a variety of ways. Recently, we completed a unit on different types of polyhedra. The students were challenged to create a net that would \"build\" a specific polyhedra. They were limited to prisms and pyramids. Students designed nets for triangular, square, rectangular, pentagonal, and octagonal pyramids. Other students designed nets for rectangular, triangular, hexagonal, and heptagonal prisms. I even had one student who designed a net for an isoscehedron (20-sided figure). The students were able to quickly cut out and print their designs using the Silhouette Cameo and accompanying cutting mats, blades, and pen set. They were able to cut the outer edges of the figure and use the pen set to mark where the figure should be folded. The ability to use the Silhouette Cameo was a game-changer as far as students being able to quickly and accurately see if their designs were accurate or if they needed to be redesigned.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the Silhouette Cameo and all of the accompanying accessories, they were so excited. Many of my students come from low-income backgrounds and have never before had the opportunity to work with this type of technology.
