The yoga mats will be used to provide group fitness activities during weight training class. This will be a great alternative to the daily weight lifting and exercise routine. Furthermore, the majority of the students in this class have never participated in a weight lifting program, Pilates, Aerobics, or Yoga. Incorporating Yoga will be a great way to introduce a fitness activity that the students can do after high school. My lesson will include information on where students can participate in Yoga classes outside of school. Ultimately students will continue to lead a physically active lifestyle throughout their adult life.
