I am creating this project to assist with the cost of creating an environment that will assist inner city youth with staying focused and motivate them to want to come to school and learn. The drop out rate for students our community is at an all time high. Creating a safe and creative calming environment will motivate them to want to come to school and learn. As a sixth grade teacher I have found that flexible seating works wonders on children at this age who struggle with ADHD and other attention deficits. Our school doesn’t always get the funding to pay for these things. I am reaching out for assistance so that we can make a difference in the lives of high risk children.
