ESL students are asked to rise to many challenges: use social language , that takes 1-3 years, learn academic language, a 5-7 year process, all while gaining sufficient, measurable progress according to state standards. Educational background taken into account, these young minds are working triple time. The visuals in the phonetic and phonemic listening centers will increase the retention of vocabulary, even, spelling for developing writing skills. The opportunity to practice spoken language with fellow learners will be more relaxed and fun, the way learning should be. All of these tools will reinforce the lessons and infuse confidence and enthusiasm.
