As a new teacher, my library is still continuing to grow and change. These books will be able to help students develop literary skills and lifelong reading habits. The books I have specifically selected are diverse and relate directly to conflicts and situations my students themselves deal with. Many of these texts have previously been requested by my students. My classroom library is a place that constantly piques students' interests and gets them thinking about themselves, their ideas, their struggles and their passions. Many of my students often do not have the resources to access books at home, and through my classroom library, I have been able to and would love to continue to open up a whole new world to them.
