We are requesting book bins to better organize our classroom library and make it easier for students to pick out books they can read. Timers and pointers will help with guided reading. My materials will make it easier for students to pick out books from the classroom library that they can actually read and understand, because the bins will make it more organized and easy to discern levels, genres, etc. Guided reading groups will become much more impactful and fun with the use of fun finger pointers and timers to time reading. During my reading groups, I will use these new materials to allow students practice with reading fluency and help them focus and concentrate on what they are reading. They can also work together in partnerships to time each other, growing class unity and friendship.
