My special education students need a comfortable and inviting environment that facilitates learning. My students need opportunities to move about the room in order to minimize distractions and maximize creativity. These chairs will start to build a comfortable seating area in my classroom that will provide students with a much-needed break from the hard and uncomfortable seating we currently have. My classroom is not only a learning environment but a safe place to land. Many of my students have challenges with sensory, oppositional defiance, intellectual disabilities, along with general learning disabilities and these chairs will help alleviate some of their daily stressors.
