I am a first year teacher struggling with the day to day, working in a public school I was provided with minimal technology and supplies. Where do I begin? Well, my kids struggle to hear anything played out of the laptop and everyday is challenge trying to print. The buildings printer is either jammed or broken every few seconds. Therefore, I am requesting a printer, ink, laminator machine and speakers. I am also requesting a wireless door bell that will be used to get students attention without having to yell and/or speak over them. I am planning to have the button attached to my ID badge and the sound part plugged in by my board, students will hear the door bell and all eyes will be on me. Lastly, I am requesting a lap desk, the students and I will benefit from the lap desk because we will use it to alter the height of the table to the laptop. Please help me obtain the basic supplies needed to begin teaching. These supplies will not only facilitate my life, but the technology will provide my students with endless resources and education. Students will be able to hear videos played out of the computer, and have printed handouts. Students will have classroom that is organized and a teacher that is able to plan effectively. Every student regardless of their background or community deserve the opportunity to receive quality education and a teacher that is prepared.
