My Third Grade students will be learning how to understand each other and teach each other. They need comfort and choice seating to do their very best. Flexible seating allows students to open up with one another and to share more confidently in a group setting. Students who learn in small groups first are better equipped to master whole group speaking and listening goals. Flexible seating allows students to easily pair up, work in small groups, or discuss as a whole class. Many flexible seating options stimulate students' sense of touch. This type of stimulation can help children focus and process information. Sensory input is especially helpful for students with ADHD, ADD, and ASD.
