Geography Carpet Time will make the study of maps fun and interactive while providing a warm place for students to sit. In fourth grade students move around the classroom quite a bit. They sit on the floor during instructional lessons, small groups and for independent work time. This rug with a map of the world will be used not only for carpet time but also as a Social Studies learning tool. Students will be so engaged during geography lessons. They can use the carpet to label land forms, countries and even lay out the lines of longitude and latitude. This carpet will allow the students to be actively engaged in geography class.
