Fully funding my project would enhance the training platform established in my Algebra 2 classroom. I am requesting ten TI-83 calculators and one TI 84 calculator as well as multi-color paper and a variety of math posters. Our school has begun an Evidence Base Learning environment which requires our students to be familiar with real world examples, these classroom materials will support this initiative. The TI-83 calculators are the calculators of choice in math, physics, chemistry, and finance courses. Exposing my students to this device and how to utilize multiple functions, equations, and applications will vastly influence their college readiness. In requesting the TI-84 calculator will enable me to work one-on-one with students for advanced functions as well as download equation structure. The purpose of the multi-color paper and math posters will promote the Evidence Base Learning environment and provide additional examples for my students to follow. I believe these classroom materials will make a significant difference in my students' learning and my teaching.
