This training mat can make a difference for students by providing a cleaner and safer learning environment. The students currently train on carpet. I am limited on the material I can teach on the ground like some self defense tactics. If students are moving around on the ground, they can get rug burn on their knees and/or elbows. Students will also be able to take their shoes off and train with bare feet which would give them the experience of a traditional martial artist. The mats can be easily cleaned each day, or even after each class if needed. Carpet would need to be shampooed and air dried. Mats are better for hygienic purposes, less time consuming cleaning, and more cost effective versus carpet.
