At this school, more than 50% of students are Black, and more than 50% come from low-income household. Students do not have access to comfortable seating and flexible seating in the class, which affects their performance in class. The chairs will allow students to enjoy reading and doing work during reading class. The chairs will also provide students with peace of mind. Additionally, the students will use the headphones to listen to stories that they have to read during class to support with comprehension and fluency. They will also use the headphones to support with learning programs on the computer.
