The requested iPads would provide an added layer to the math and reading instruction my students will be receiving this school-year. They receive specially designed instruction in both areas, but it is often a struggle for many of my students. The use of these iPads would not only help to engage my students during instruction, but would also allow them each to access various ways of learning. Since many of my students have difficulty with language and communication, the use of iPads and visual reading and math games would be extremely beneficial in helping them gain more access to the curriculum. It would help to keep them engaged and also allow them to receive instruction in a way that meets all of their needs. Although my students show great progress in accessing the curriculum currently used in the classroom, we don't yet have a way to integrate technology into that curriculum in a way that fully meets every students needs. The addition of these three iPads and headphones would go a long way towards fixing that.
