I am trying to create a warm and inviting classroom, one that will inspire and help students develop a love for reading. By sharing good books and having book talks I hope to open up the world of literature that will help these children escape the day-to-day drama they experience outside of school. Allowing them some comfortable options while they read will help them enjoy it more and less like school work. Enjoying reading will benefit them in so many ways by expanding their vocabulary and knowledge. It will also broaden their world to more than what is happening on their street.
