In my classroom I would like to foster students' ability to express their thoughts and feelings through their artwork. While this is always possible in the art room, I would love to be able to supply them with sketchbooks that they could use in my room as well as their homeroom and at home. If possible it would also be beneficial to give students some colored pencils or crayons as many of them have few to no art supplies at home. By donating to this project you will be giving students a much needed outlet to express themselves. Students will be able to reflect on their thoughts and feelings while also creating meaningful pieces of art in my classroom. They will also be given a prompt on a weekly basis to work on in their sketchbook that will connect to what their doing in my classroom.
