Yes, it's sad, but true. We actually have a dead bow graveyard in my orchestra classroom. Every time a stringed instrument bow is unusable, it is hung on our wall and mourned. Unfortunately, we have so many violin bows that are hanging in our dead bow graveyard, we are running out of nails to hang them on and even worse, bows to actually play our instruments with. We need to rectify our dead bow situation. My students are amazing musicians and deserve good, quality bows. They are at the point in their learning that a lesser quality bow won't do the job anymore. We are working hard to fundraise to buy more bows, but we need as much help as we can get. We have state festivals that many of my students are auditioning for and that two of my orchestras will perform at, and I don't want them judged on the quality of their instruments, but the quality of their performance. Please help me provide my students with the equipment that they need and deserve. Thank you so much.
