The products I have selected will help my students become better readers, writers, listeners, and speakers. We will use them during our lesson of learning how to cite text evidence, determine the main idea of stories, write summaries, and have discussions about the texts we are reading this school year! They are also learning to identify character traits, which will help them see how authors use the characters in their stories to move the plots of the stories. All of these skills are connected to the learning standards of English Language Arts, which is preparing them to take standardized testing.
