My eager learners love to create with their hands, collaborate with their peers and read and write about the world around them. The materials requested for this project will be used to set up rotating learning centers in the classroom and will support the academic and emotional growth of the students. These materials offer the students the opportunity to build with the shapes they are learning about, sculpt the letters they know and build words, read and learn about the natural world around them and collaborate with peers. Through this hands on approach to learning, the students will be able to interact with the curriculum in an engaging and developmentally appropriate format. The learning centers allow for students to guide their own learning, experiment with their ideas and demonstrate their knowledge in a variety of ways.
