Our class requires the use of a wheelchair for mastery of patient transfers to and from the wheelchair and patient mobility. We also use the wheelchairs for transfer board transfers. We even practice the safest way to roll patients on and off elevators. However, we are in need new wheels! We literally used our last wheelchair until the wheels fell off. The wheelchair lasted more than a decade but we are in need of a replacement to get the next generation of future health care workers through another decade. I take pride knowing these students may take care of my generation one day soon. Please help us out by making sure they have the proper equipment. Thank you!
