Outdoor activities encourage cooperation, creativity, and problem-solving skills. Recess is a valuable part of the instructional school day as it offers numerous health benefits and learning experiences. Recess is the time that allows students to take a break from their academic work and take part in active, free play. The new recess toys and equipment will encourage physical activity and engagement for all of the first graders. Students will be excited to have new tools to play with. The variety of choices will allow the children to experience many different activities during outdoor recess time. The new supplies will also allow the children to play the games taught in the physical education setting at recess time.
