All students deserve basic supplies to thrive and shine in the classroom and beyond. Baltimore City Schools lacks the individual stipend given to most teachers across the nation at the beginning of the school year to fund their classroom. Because of this, we have a shortage of resources and access, which also limits our students' potential and dreams. Because our resilient Baltimore City children already suffer from lack of access to resources in and outside the classroom, I am asking for funding for pencils, paper, markers, and other supplies to aid them in their success not only as students but as critical thinkers and leaders on their way to solve society's complex issues. Please help an ESOL teacher and her students move one step closer to engaged learning, thriving students, and real-world leaders.
