This project will fund nine classroom libraries, third through fifth grade and will rejuvenate the heart of the classroom. Students interests levels will be sparked as they enjoy the smell of a new book and read about characters like themselves. Students will be excited to crack open a fresh book from their classroom library and inspired to read an engaging book independently. This new library will provide book access to all students while building a strong reading community. With these new and updated books, teachers will be able to craft engaging literacy lessons to build excitement around reading and book discussions. This will allow teachers to make purchases towards other needs in their classroom.
