Light covers for florescent lighting in my classroom will provide a safe space for students with special needs and health-related issues adversely affected by strong artificial lighting. My classes focus on fine art, technical skills, painting, drawing, and mixed media art. Each of these skills requires focus and concentration. As the art educator, I instruct over 600 students in a six-day rotation. To meet all their needs I must constantly reevaluate their abilities, exceptionalities and provide appropriate accommodations. Proper lighting is imperative for students with sensitivities. Best practices dictate all learners deserve a classroom environment that will help them reach their greatest potential.
