I would love to teach my students the joyous skill of knitting. The school day is jam-packed with academics, but there is little time for hobby and skill development outside of the textbooks. Did you know that knitting develops hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, and left-to-right brain development? Also these are the fundamentals that children need to develop before they can independently read and write. My students will need good quality yarn and their own knitting needles to complete their own projects. We will complete knitting projects such as little stuffed animals, rainbow balls, scarfs, and more.
