The project that I would like to get fully funded is providing student with additional prepared microscope slides to help them discover other microscopic images in Biology. Students get excited when utilizing the microscope because many of them have never used one in their entire life. It is when they get to high school that many of the students get to see if for the first time. Currently we have a limited prepared slides that as a department we have been sharing. Getting them replaced has been difficult because of lack of funding. Introducing the microscopic world to the student may inspire some to become researchers in the science field. The students with the brand new set of prepared microscope slides will have a better understanding of items we can't see with our own eyes. The learning will also open their eyes to other possibilities.
