These materials will be used everyday during calendar math and during small group/center time. The centers that I selected are colorful, engaging, and I know my first graders will have fun while practicing essential skills. Each of the activities also target skills that students often need extra practice with in order to master. I am excited to use the large number chart and magnetic place value chart during calendar math every morning. Students often struggle with number sense and skip counting. Being able to practice these skills each morning and build them into our classroom routine will help all students be more confident mathematicians!
