We are asking for support in rebuilding and growing our student garden space. Within this space the students will learn how to plan the garden, prepare the soil for specific needs and types of growth, start seeds, maximize growth potential of the plants, and harvest their own fruits and vegetables. We will use the materials provided to improve the garden space, teach valuable life skills, and strengthen the academic understanding of the students involved. Because the garden space is utilized by so many students and classes it is our plan that each class will have different area to use, and they will run their own projects with regards to soil composition, planting style, propagation, etc. The materials we have listed would greatly help support this process.
