The majority of my students are facing the challenge of reading on grade level. So much is going on in their world all around them. Scholastic materials, as I have chosen, put present day, real world events into printed text that provides them the opportunity to read about life while expanding their vocabulary and increasing their reading skills. I find the teacher support from Scholastic to be beneficial and relative. Scholastic is a name associated with student growth as well as student interest. The students look forward to receiving the Scholastic reading materials and doing the activities that are recommended.
