Your gift has made an incredible difference in the lives of my students, and I'd love to share how these books have impacted us.\r\n\r\nReading in our classroom is much more than practicing fluency—it's about discovering stories, exploring new worlds, and building skills that will carry my students through all subjects. With the addition of these new texts, we've been able to work on important lessons such as identifying main ideas, recognizing character traits, exploring figurative language, and expanding vocabulary. The variety of genres has also allowed us to compare fiction and nonfiction, while fostering curiosity and critical thinking.\r\n\r\nDuring the school day, reading happens in many ways: whole-group read-alouds where we pause to discuss predictions and themes, small guided reading groups where students dig deeper into strategies, and independent reading time where they get to curl up with books they've chosen themselves. Thanks to your donation, that last part has been especially powerful—students now have more engaging choices that truly match their interests and reading levels.\r\n\r\nSome of the greatest moments have been seeing reluctant readers suddenly eager to pick up a book. For example, one student who previously struggled to stay focused during reading has become absorbed in the new nonfiction books about animals—he now shares facts with the class daily! Another student who has been working hard to build confidence loves the new series books, and she beams with pride every time she finishes a chapter and tells her classmates about it.\r\n\r\nYour support has turned reading into a joyful and exciting part of our classroom culture. Thank you for believing in my students and helping them see themselves as readers. You've given them not just books, but confidence, curiosity, and the joy of learning.","fullyFundedDate":1723676277321,"projectUrl":"project/reading-with-our-imagination-in-mind/8524854/","projectTitle":"Reading With Our Imagination in Mind","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Annulysse","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8191811"},{"teacherId":7283957,"projectId":9052985,"letterContent":"These resources truly helped the students with their sensory regulation. This helped to provide a place where students could calm down, reset, and be ready to learn. Students loved knowing they had a calm place to come and reregulate while we talked through the big feelings they were having. Students always tell me Miss your room is a vibe and a place they want to be and where they feel safe. So, thank you for helping to make that possible.
