As a child, I was an AVID reader. From ages 6 - 12, you would never spot me without a book in my hand. Around age 10, I read "The Giver" and fell in love. To this day, it is one of my favorite books and all I want is to be able to share it with my students. I believe this book can help engage my class and instill a love of reading into my students. I want them to be able to read from their own personal copy and take ownership over this novel study experience. As a first-year teacher, the majority of my personal finances were spent on resources and supplies I needed in my classroom. I would love any help funding this project in order to make sure my students get the books I know they will love.
