My students have virtually no access to technology or to tech programs that they need in order to successfully navigate high school English and AP programs, as well as to prepare for college and university life. I am requesting three Chromebooks in order to help my students access online personal progress checks for their Advanced Placement English class, apply to colleges and universities online, and to help them write their scholarship essays and share with peers and teachers for editing to give them the best chance for success. Many of my students do not have regular access to even the most basic of technology, so this puts them at a disadvantage in applying for scholarships and university admissions, as well as accessing vital resources for success in Advanced Placement classes and research for projects.
