The set of 4 CPR manikins will be used to teach first aid and chest compressions. The manikins have a sensor in them that lights up when performing compression's correctly. Many students struggle with knowing how hard to push on the chest and the rate or pace to perform the skill correctly. These lights help give automatic feedback for the students. Lights will indicate if they are going to fast, slow, or at the correct pace with proper depth in their push. Manikins will also be used to demonstrate how to use the AED machine. We will also cover how to handle various types of choking incidents using the manikins. Teaching CPR to our students today, will save many lives in the future! It is our hope by teaching the students how to save lives. That one day if that situation occurs they will be prepared. As 8th grade students many of them now watch over younger siblings at home in the neighborhood etc. Parents will feel more secure knowing their children will know how to handle choking, an unconscious person, recognize signs of stroke or heart attack and where to find and use an AED machine if needed. Help us fund the use of these manikins so we can educate our students to save a life in the future. The first seconds in these emergency situations are very critical in survival until professional paramedics arrive. Help us prepare the students for emergency situations. You never know you or someone you know may be saved one day by the students will teach. The more we train the more we can save!
