Students need to have the necessary tools to do their school work both in the classroom and at home. Our community is a low income poverty area and the children needs the essential items (i,.e. pencils, erasers, glue, scissors). I will be reading books to the students and they will do follow up activities that correlate with the lesson. My goal is to cover the literary aspect with reading a book, teaching the students how to use a world globe to discover that their is a whole world outside of Hope, Arkansas and that education will afford them the chance to explore the world both in books and when they grow up. I will be teaching from my classroom and want the room to be decorated for the students to get a visual for what their classroom looks like. This will give them a learning space to look forward to coming to when the coronavirus pandemic is over.
