The goal of the project is to meet the materials needs of incoming 9th grade teachers and students, and for them to be successful! The freshman English 1 Department team is growing by two new teachers, as well as 150 incoming freshmen, and we want to ensure that each teacher will have a class set of books for their students. Our goal is to read books that our students can relate to, and to share literature that inspires our students. The student project will allow the option for students to create a visual as well as practice their essay writing skills.
