In a Title 1 school, technology is hard to come by. At our school we have a cart of about 24 Chrome books (many of which don't actually work)that each classroom can use for one period a week. This one period a week may the only time my students get use any type of technology at all, most don't have computers at home. With this project I hope to give a different small group of students the opportunity to use technology as a teaching tool. Students come alive when given the opportunity to learn using technology. They become engaged in learning and are excited at the thought of learning new skills through technology. I plan to use these Chrome books to reinforce skills that we are learning in math, reading and even writing. They will be used to help students who are struggling to give them a different approach to learning and to give some students more of a challenge. The Chrome books will be used during math and literacy centers as well as for research based projects in writing. In a world where technology is a necessity, I would like to provide my students with this tool for success.
