Having these books will help my students explore new ideas, artists, cultures, and themes in the Art room. Each of these books has been chosen to enhance a lesson that will help our students meet the National Core Art Standards. These students deserve to have a full and enriching art program that helps focus on expanding their worlds and ideas. Since many of them do not always have access to a large variety of literature outside of their homeroom, I want them to experience them from a different perspective. Opening up a ​dialogue about different ideas and images that they would not normally have the chance to see.
