Technology is one of the most important elements in education today. The Chromebooks that I am requesting for my class will allow students to access educational websites that cater to their individual learning needs. Also,students will be able to learn basic computer skills such as powering a computer on and off, typing skills, and how to safely and efficiently browse the web. Thanks to adaptive learning computer programs like I Ready Reading and Math, I can use the Chromebooks to reinforce what I have taught to one group, while I am working with another group that may be struggling. The Chromebooks can also be used as an incentive for students who consistently make great choices. Students will be given 10 to 15 minute "free time coupons" to play some of their favorite educational games.
