All of the students within our FLS department struggle with academics within their age groups due to an intellectual disability or deficiency but they still have a drive to want to be successful. What makes learning even harder is these students also come from economically disadvantaged homes and parents have a difficult time to pay for anything that we need in or outside the classroom. Sometimes those items that we need, I end up having to spend money out of my own pocket. These items would improve their quality of instruction and assist in their progress to a better future. It would also help them with those transitioning skills that they need to be successful when they leave the classroom setting and progress into the workforce. This has led me to asking for donations here to get started....... and a head start is a start in the right direction!

About my class
