Flexible seating offers my students the ability to work in a space that is conducive to their learning style. Students who feel comfortable and relaxed tend to be more engaged in their learning. My hopes are that by introducing the choice of seating it will encourage my students to take leadership of their learning. This first step into flexible seating will give them the confidence to be active participants in their own learning. The items I picked will help with the mobility of small group learning while also allowing for independent comfort. For example, the whiteboards will allow students to sit on the floor and actively participate in a lesson.
