This is a Comprehensible Input based classroom where every effort is made to communicate in Spanish. One of the students favorite activities are Story Listening and Story Writing. The document camera will allow us to share these stories and illustrations that the students. The novels will add to and provide greater choice to our classroom library. Reading in any language is the primary way to increase comprehension and vocabulary and these leveled readers are perfect for Spanish learners as they are written in comprehensible Spanish and have easy access glossaries so as not to frustrate novice and early intermediate learners. We are a desk-less classroom and the dry-erase clipboards would be great for daily use for communication by conversation shy students, quick assessments and games such as Pictionary and Quick Write.
