My students come from diverse cultures. Some of my English Language Students that come to me speak no English. I would love to add books to my library to help support their reading in their first language. Literacy is vital to all students so it is important to set a strong foundation no matter what language. I want all my students to enjoy reading and supplying books in home languages will encourage them. Having books readily available in Spanish will benefit them and help the not only read but feel like they matter and are part of my classroom community.
