With such young students 3, 4 and 5 year olds, their bodies are still growing and discovering their place in space. These materials will help prepare them for large motor skills and fine motor skills. Practicing their balance at school on the beam and with the round wobble board gives them a safe place to gain confidence. A student is best served when their whole body is addressed - their physical as well as their intellectual needs. These materials will allow them to gain confidence with their gross motor skills. The headphones assist those who need help in shutting out the world for a bit. The puzzles, number boxes and the moveable alphabets, each allow the student to practice fine motor skills as they manipulate all the different pieces. Montessori work is very developmental and practicing gross motor and fine motor skills from day number one is necessary. Number boxes allow the students to compose numbers from 1-9,999. Moveable alphabets allow the students to copy words or compose words phonetically on their own which bolsters their language learning. The puzzles are beautiful and boost a students imagination as they create and build with them.
