The students in my class have been excited to use the limited technology we do have in our school to practice their academic skills online. They have also been excited to increase their reading skills by using the Accelerated Reader program. However, we only have two classroom computers for student use, so the amount of time that my students have access to technology is very limited. I am requesting financial assistance so that I may purchase Chromebooks for the students in my classroom. My students will be able to use Chromebooks to access online resources to enrich their learning in order to develop the skills they will need for the future. This technology will motivate my students to do their best work. They will be able to use the Chromebooks in the academic areas of reading, writing, math, and science. They will be able to do research projects, practice their academic skills online, read books, and take assessments. In addition, the small size of the Chromebook will allow for flexibility so that the students can easily use them individually and in small groups. Currently, my students have very little technology resources available to them. Please help my students become academically successful and more prepared for the 21st century!
