A special library bench for my students to read and store books will help them visualize the importance of books in their everyday lives. My students will have better access to a diverse range of books that are clearly organized to find the topics and levels they want. The reading bench will be an integral part of the classroom library where students can enjoy their favorite books independently or with a buddy. During reading and writing workshops, students will use the bench to practice literacy skills like reading stamina, discussing books with a partner, and writing story maps. It will be a special place in the classroom for my students to read, share, and collaborate.
