These supplies will help my students and I incorporate environmental science classroom concepts to a hands-on learning experience outdoors. We are currently studying soil composition and soil health and using our school garden in our experiments and investigations. We have also been cleaning up and weeding our school's garden that has been long ignored and not taken care of. Your support and these supplies will help restore and bring our school's garden back to life. We aim to provide the school community with 22 aesthetically pleasing garden beds and provide locally-grown vegetables and herbs to students, staff and their families. We plan to grow several beds of tomatoes and cilantro and then turn those fresh veggies into a homemade salsa we can sell to fundraise for future learning expeditions.
