Math is an area of focus on our campus this year. We are all working to help our students become mathematicians who not only have a deep understanding of math but truly enjoy it! We acknowledge and embrace the fact that all students have different learning modalities and need to engage with academic content through various modes. This is specifically important for my students who truly benefit from opportunities to engage with mathematical concepts in more than one way. My students would greatly benefit form hands-on math tools to increase their understanding of mathematical concepts and further develop their math skills. Students will use these math tools to gain a deeper understanding of base ten and number relationships and to increase their overall number sense. Students will benefit from this multi-sensory way to engage with math.
