Every student is different. Some students can easily sit still until an assignment is completed, while others struggle with sitting still for even twenty minutes. A student's inability to focus for extended periods of time often affects their ability to comprehend, the quality of their work, and their ability to complete assignments. Often when students get antsy, they tend to start bothering others around them by talking or moving too much, getting out of their seats, or doing other distracting things. Students will use these bouncy bands on their seats to extend their on-task time, therefore increasing their stamina, and the quality of their work. These bands will allow students to get a little movement in while not disturbing their classmates, having to leave their seats, or interrupting instruction because the bands will always be on their seats when they need them. With the demands of the state standards, and the goal for every child to be college and career ready, students need to develop the stamina to work for longer periods of time and be focused.
