It is often that students want to connect with me by showing me their favorite funny videos or websites and games that they like to play on their tablets. I have been allowing students to use my phone or my work computer to show me, but I would love for them to have an iPad instead. "Calm Down" Apps have been proven to enrich and improve the social/emotional needs of students. In our technological world, our youth are used to sometimes using tablets or cell phones as a coping/calm down tool. If I can guide them to an effective app in their time of need, I believe I could help students in crisis calm down quicker and also learn skills for the future. Additionally, some of the upper-grade students want to explore college and career options... guided internet searches are great for this! Please help me help them!
